Julia Walker, DVM
Veterinarian

Dr. Julia Walker is a 2025 graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Walker also completed her bachelors’ degree at Kansas State University in the Animal Science department, with a minor in Leadership Studies. Throughout her time in the College of Veterinary medicine, Dr. Walker was involved in several organizations, including the student chapter of AAEP, Guiding Wildcats into Future Equine Veterinarians mentorship group, Christian Veterinary mission student group, and theriogenology club.
Dr. Walker started riding horses at the young age of six, while living in the suburbs of Philadelphia. As her passions continued, her family relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she began showing on the hunter/jumper circuit, eventually moving up to the junior equitation classes. It was through her riding and showing that Dr. Walker’s passion for veterinary medicine was born. Dr. Walker realized her passion for equine lameness and sports medicine through the management and training of her own horses, which continued to drive her interests throughout veterinary school. Once in her clinical rotations, however, Dr. Walker found significant value in small animal general practice as well as equine practice. She is excited for the opportunity to continue to develop both of these passions after graduation.
Dr. Walker met her husband, Reid, while they were both in college at Kansas State. They were married in Manhattan, Kansas in 2023. They are excited to begin their next chapter at their new home in Louisburg, which they hope will include a dog or two very soon. Outside of her work, Dr. Walker enjoys spending time with her now retired horse, Moose, as well as golfing, traveling, spending time with family, and cheering on the ‘Cats at football games in the fall!
