Associate veterinarian near Kansas City
Red Oak Animal Hospital-Bucyrus, KS is looking for an associate DVM to add to our caring and compassionate team! Currently our patients are 40% equine and 60% companion animal. We are seeking applicants for a small animal position.
Our hospital is located on a sprawling five acres and offers a beautiful view of farmland surrounding the clinic. We are located just south of Johnson County, near Overland Park, in a thriving community that is a wonderful place to call home. The Blue Valley and Olathe school districts are award winning and highly ranked at both the state and national levels.
Our newly remodeled clinic allows us to utilize some of the latest diagnostic tools available. Accommodations include a surgical suite, radiology, three small animal exam rooms, a comfort room, laboratory capabilities, and a spacious treatment area with both a wet and dry table. We have a staff lounge to conduct frequent continuing education as a team. Our equine wing has four stalls, a set of stocks and is heated and cooled for year round comfort. Through the innovative design of the clinic, we are able to make patient comfort and care our number one priority while giving our staff the support system they need.
Our supportive staff offers a large variety of skill sets and certifications to help meet the needs of our patients, owners and veterinarians. Each weekend we have a technician dedicated to the clinic’s after hours calls to assist the veterinarian on call if needed.

Qualifications:
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) or related degree from an accredited university.
- Licensure in good standing to practice in Kansas and Missouri.
- Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
- Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Schedule:
- Monday through Friday- with one set weekday off
- Rotating Saturdays, if desired
Veterinary Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
