Small Animal Clinical Services - At Red Oak, our dedicated staff provides excellent health services in a caring and compassionate environment for you and your pet. We focus on preventative medicine to ensure a long, healthy life for your pet.
These services include:
- Annual Wellness Exam - Our staff at Red Oak Animal Hospital is interested in the health of your animal on a continual basis. At the annual wellness exam, your pet will receive a through examination. We will also make suggestions based on your pet’s age, breed, and history. As your pet ages, we recommend biannual exams.
- Client Education - Ample time is allotted for each client in order to spend time informing you on pet health and answering your questions. We are also available to answer your questions over the phone.
- Appropriate Vaccinations - At Red Oak Animal Hospital, we pride ourselves in offering and suggesting only what we feel your pet needs to remain healthy.
- Dentistry - Prompt information and prevention is needed to prevent dental problems. Our experienced doctors and staff are all interested in achieving this goal. We offer both routine dental cleanings and tooth extractions. Both procedures require general anesthesia, with pre-anesthetic blood work strongly recommended.
- Heartworm Prevention - Client education, testing, prevention, and follow up communication is important to the staff at Red Oak to aid in eradicating this disease. An animal can have heartworms long before they begin to show clinical signs, such as coughing and exercise intolerance. We recommend testing your animal for heartworms on a regular basis, in addition to monthly preventatives.
- Nutritional Counseling - Our doctors and staff are trained in nutritional and dietary management. We also offer a wide variety of prescription diets that can aid in the treatment of a variety of diseases.

- Medical Evaluation and Treatment - The experience of our doctors and technicians insure the highest level of care for your pet.
- Surgical Procedures - Soft tissue and orthopedic procedures are offered by our staff.
- Intensive Care
Diagnostic Services include:
- Radiology - Red Oak offers the ability to take high quality radiographs in order to aid in the diagnosis of a variety of soft tissue and orthopedic diseases.
- Ultrasound - State of the art ultrasound equipment is available to aid in soft tissue diagnosis.
- In-house blood work - The most up-to-date, accurate, and reliable equipment is available for the majority of blood tests. This gives us the ability for a rapid and accurate diagnosis.
