Our staff at Red Oak Animal Hospital is interested in the health of your animal on a continual basis.  It is our goal to prevent disease and potential problems through routine maintenance and expert veterinary care.  Time and expense are two of the most critical factors in caring for horses.  While most services are performed at our Bucyrus Veterinary Clinic, our portable digital radiograph equipment allows us to take quality radiographs directly on your farm.

At Red Oak, it’s our mission to keep family pets happy and healthy.  Our focus on preventive medicine ensures a long, healthy life for your pet.

Services include:

  • Annual Wellness Exam – A through physical examination including care suggestions based on your pet’s age, breed, and history.  Biannual exams recommend for older pets.
  • Client Education – We offer pet health information and are available to answer any questions in person or over the phone.
  • Appropriate Vaccinations – We offering and suggest only those vaccinations we feel your pet needs to remain healthy.
  • Dentistry – We offer routine dental cleanings and tooth extractions.  Both procedures require general anesthesia, with optional pre-anesthetic blood work.
  • Heartworm Prevention – We recommend testing your animal for heartworms on a regular basis, in addition to monthly preventatives.
  • Nutritional Counseling – Our doctors and staff offer a wide variety of prescription diets and treatment for a variety of diseases.

If needed, the following small animal services are provided:

  • Medical Evaluation and Treatment
  • Surgical Procedures – including Soft Tissue and Orthopedic Procedures
  • Intensive Care 

Diagnostic Services include:

  • Radiology – High quality radiographs aid in the diagnosis of a variety of soft tissue and orthopedic diseases.
  • Ultrasound – State of the art ultrasound equipment is available to aid in soft tissue diagnosis.
  • In-house blood work – Our laboratory is equipped to run a majority of blood tests with rapid and accurate diagnosis.

Small Animal Care

A full service veterinary clinic in Bucyrus, Kansas, we offer grooming services for both dogs and cats.  We require pets be current on their vaccines. Call today to make your appointment.
