Red Oak offers the ability to take high quality radiographs both on farm and in the clinic. Radiographs allow us to evaluate bone, joint surfaces, and soft tissues. This information facilitates in both diagnosis and treatment.
Radiographs are often part of a lameness exam (link) or prepurchase (link). All of our films are kept on file for progress comparison.
- Digital Radiography
In 2008 Red Oak Animal Hospital expanded our diagnostic ability by adding digital radiography to our practice.
We chose CR due to the fact that we offer small animal services as well as Equine. CR allows us this technology with each.
Our Veterinary practice software and our new CR are totally integrated so patient's radiographs are in their files. This allows easy access to previous radiographs.
The enhanced quality of radiographs with this system had increased our ability to diagnose and treat.
This technology allows us to e-mail radiographs or place them on a CD for review.
